Why geographic diversification matters

The Nym Mixnet protects metadata by routing traffic through independent nodes. That protection is only as strong as the independence of those nodes: if many of them sit in one data center, one country or with one hosting provider, a single outage, provider policy change or legal request can affect all of them at once.

This page shows where Petroff Nodes actually run, so delegators can judge how concentrated the infrastructure is and choose nodes that improve the network's spread. Every node can be opened for live performance, reliability, stake saturation and reward history.

How locations are determined

Nodes are placed by IP geolocation of their public address, which points to the data center where they physically run. When the location declared by the node differs, it is shown next to the node as declared. Node data is refreshed every 15 minutes.
